Kuwait Drilling Fluids (KDF) is looking for an experienced and technically strong Workshop & Maintenance Supervisor to join its Maintenance & Reliability Department in Kuwait.
The ideal candidate should have a solid mechanical background and hands-on experience with diesel engines, heavy machinery, modular equipment, maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and computerized maintenance/ERP systems. Strong leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills are important for this position.
Job Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities for diesel engines, heavy machinery, and modular equipment.
- Plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and supervise troubleshooting, repair, overhauling, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and manage maintenance schedules, work orders, spare parts, and equipment requirements.
- Use ERP/CMMS and computerized maintenance systems to track maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, equipment history, and performance information.
- Monitor equipment condition and identify potential mechanical problems.
- Recommend corrective actions and reliability improvements to prevent repeated equipment failures.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to ensure equipment and spare parts are available when needed.
- Lead and supervise technicians and maintenance personnel.
- Allocate daily work and monitor team performance and work quality.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed according to company procedures and HSE requirements.
- Support maintenance reporting, cost control, planning, and continuous improvement activities.
- Ensure workshop activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Maintain proper organization of workshop tools, equipment, and maintenance areas.
- Perform other maintenance and reliability duties assigned by management.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- Proven experience in a Mechanical Supervisor, Workshop Supervisor, or Maintenance Supervisor position.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with heavy machinery and modular equipment.
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Oilfield Services, Industrial, or Heavy Equipment sectors is highly preferred.
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance planning.
- Knowledge of maintenance schedules, work orders, spare parts, and inventory control.
- Experience with ERP / CMMS systems.
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong leadership and team supervision skills.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Ability to manage multiple maintenance priorities and meet deadlines.
