Job Vacancy: Blacksmith / Welder & Metal Fabrication Technician

A farm and manufacturing operation in Kuwait is looking for a skilled Blacksmith, Welder & Metal Fabrication Technician to handle welding, fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair work.

The successful candidate will also be involved in designing and manufacturing livestock and agricultural equipment for goats, sheep, poultry, and general farm operations. Candidates with practical fabrication skills and experience in agricultural equipment will be preferred.

• Perform welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance work around the farm.
• Repair and maintain livestock pens, gates, fences, barns, sheds, and steel structures.
• Fabricate and install handrails, platforms, storage racks, and support structures.
• Repair trailers, trolleys, farm machinery, and other equipment.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.

Design, fabricate, repair, and improve equipment such as:

• Goat and sheep feeding troughs.
• Hay feeders and water troughs.
• Mineral and salt holders.
• Livestock handling and sorting gates.
• Goat and sheep pens.
• Portable livestock shelters.
• Milking stands.
• Hoof trimming stands.
• Livestock loading ramps.
• Feed storage bins.
• Fence panels and farm gates.
• Poultry cages and feeders.
• Custom agricultural and livestock equipment.

• Design new metal products for commercial use.
• Improve existing products for durability and ease of use.
• Prepare prototypes and test products before production.
• Recommend cost-effective materials and fabrication methods.
• Assist management in developing new agricultural product lines.

• Meet customers and understand their custom fabrication requirements.
• Prepare quotations in coordination with management.
• Manufacture metal products according to customer specifications.
• Carry out on-site installation and repairs when required.
• Ensure customer projects are completed accurately and on time.

• Safely operate welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, bending, and fabrication equipment.
• Read and understand technical drawings, measurements, and sketches.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop.
• Monitor steel, welding rods, consumables, and tool inventory.
• Report material shortages and equipment maintenance requirements.

• Ensure all fabricated products meet required quality standards.
• Follow welding and occupational safety procedures.
• Properly use and maintain required PPE.
• Inspect completed products before delivery or installation.
• Reduce material waste through efficient fabrication practices.

• Technical certificate or diploma in Welding, Metal Fabrication, Mechanical Engineering, or a related trade.
• Minimum 3 years of welding and metal fabrication experience.
• Experience with agricultural or livestock equipment fabrication is preferred.
• Valid driving licence is an advantage.
• Practical experience with workshop and fabrication equipment.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
• Good measuring, layout, and fabrication skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
