Hiring MEP Electrical Design Engineer in Kuwait
A premier architectural and engineering consultancy office in Kuwait City is recruiting a highly qualified Electrical Design Engineer to oversee electrical systems design and site supervision for prestigious residential and commercial developments.
The ideal candidate should have verified GCC or local Kuwait working experience, strong professional discipline, and the ability to execute day-to-day responsibilities with high accuracy.
Applicants must hold valid Kuwait residency with transferable visa status (Article 18 or 22) and be available for immediate or near-term joining.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive electrical engineering designs, power distribution single line diagrams (SLD), and lighting layouts.
- Perform accurate electrical load calculations, fault current analysis, and cable sizing according to MEW standards.
- Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ), technical equipment specifications, and material submittal schedules.
- Coordinate with civil, architectural, and mechanical engineering teams to resolve MEP clash points.
- Conduct site supervision visits to review contractor installations and verify compliance with approved engineering drawings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 5 to 7+ years of design consultancy experience.
- Thorough knowledge of Kuwait Ministry of Electricity & Water (MEW) regulations and international electrical codes.
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Dialux, and electrical load calculation software.
- Embassy-attested educational credentials and transferable Kuwait residency (Local hire only).
