Job Vacancy: Fleet/Workshop Coordinator & Auto Electrician

A company in Fahaheel, Kuwait is urgently looking for experienced professionals to join its fleet and workshop operations. The vacancies are suitable for candidates with experience in fleet management, workshop coordination, heavy equipment, generators, rental equipment, and automotive electrical systems.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the company fleet and equipment.
• Coordinate the operation of generators, compressors, forklifts, pumps, vehicles, and other rental equipment.
• Maintain an updated fleet and equipment register, including model, serial number, operating hours, location, registration, and condition.
• Monitor equipment availability, utilization, movement, and allocation between project sites and yards.
• Coordinate vehicle and equipment allocation according to project requirements.
• Arrange equipment mobilization, demobilization, transportation, and site transfers.
• Monitor fuel consumption and investigate unusual or excessive usage.
• Maintain records of Third-Party Certificates, Gate Passes, driving licenses, and equipment documents.
• Prepare preventive maintenance schedules based on manufacturer recommendations, mileage, operating hours, or calendar periods.
• Coordinate routine servicing, inspections, oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, tyre replacement, and battery checks.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate timely repairs.
• Minimize equipment downtime and ensure critical equipment is returned to operation quickly.
• Maintain complete maintenance and repair history for every vehicle and equipment unit.
• Supervise daily workshop activities and prioritize repair and maintenance jobs.
• Assign tasks to mechanics, electricians, technicians, and external service providers.
• Monitor repair progress and ensure work is completed correctly and on schedule.
• Inspect completed repairs before equipment is released for operation.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment, consumables, spare parts, and other resources.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working practices inside the workshop.
• Prepare purchase requests for spare parts, lubricants, filters, tyres, batteries, and consumables.
• Coordinate with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of required parts.
• Maintain minimum stock levels for critical spare parts.
• Receive and record breakdown reports from drivers, operators, and site personnel.
• Assess breakdown urgency and arrange the required technician or mechanic.
• Coordinate emergency repairs at project sites when required.
• Arrange standby or replacement equipment when downtime affects project operations.
• Monitor maintenance and repair costs for individual vehicles and equipment.
• Prepare monthly maintenance cost reports.
• Identify high-cost or frequently breakdown-prone equipment and prepare detailed breakdown reports.

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Fleet Coordinator, Workshop Coordinator, or in a similar position.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong knowledge of fleet and workshop operations.
• Experience with generators, compressors, forklifts, pumps, vehicles, or rental equipment is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be currently residing in Kuwait.
• Valid Article 18 residency with local transfer required.
• Valid Kuwait Driving License required.

• Maintain electrical systems of diesel generators, air compressors, tower lights, dewatering pumps, forklifts, cranes, vehicles, and rental equipment.
• Inspect and troubleshoot generator control panels, battery systems, alternators, sensors, and emergency shutdown circuits.
• Check electrical connections and wiring for overheating, loose connections, wear, or damage.
• Support mechanical technicians when equipment troubleshooting involves electrical faults.
• Check battery condition, voltage, charging performance, terminals, and connections.
• Test alternator output and starter motor operation.
• Replace defective batteries, cables, terminals, charging components, and related electrical parts.
• Maintain proper records of battery replacement and electrical servicing.
• Troubleshoot batteries, battery chargers, wiring harnesses, fuses, relays, and circuit breakers.
• Maintain lighting systems, horns, indicators, warning lights, dashboards, and instrumentation systems.
• Carry out preventive electrical maintenance according to the maintenance schedule.
• Conduct regular electrical inspections of company vehicles and equipment.
• Prepare electrical inspection checklists for each vehicle and equipment unit.
• Identify potential electrical problems before they cause major breakdowns.
• Ensure electrical components are properly secured and protected from dust, water, vibration, and heat.
• Attend electrical breakdowns at KOC sites, customer locations, yards, and project sites.
• Carry necessary electrical tools, testing instruments, and commonly required spare parts.
• Provide emergency electrical support whenever required.
• Coordinate with the Fleet/Workshop Coordinator regarding breakdown status and repair requirements.

• ITI, Diploma, or Technical Certificate in Auto Electrical / Automotive Electrical.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with heavy vehicles, construction equipment, generators, or rental equipment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of alternators, starter motors, batteries, wiring, relays, fuses, and electrical systems.
• Experience with electrical diagnostic systems.
• Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams.
• Experience with diesel generators and heavy equipment is an advantage.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Must be currently residing in Kuwait.
• Valid Article 18 residency with local transfer required.
• Valid Kuwait Driving License would be an advantage.
