Generator / Diesel Mechanic & Heavy Driver

A reputable company in Ahmadi, Kuwait is seeking skilled Generator / Diesel Mechanics & Heavy Drivers with extensive experience in diesel generators, heavy equipment maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting. Candidates must be currently residing in Kuwait with a transferable Article 18 visa.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel generators ranging from 30 KVA to 2000 KVA.
• Inspect, service, repair, and overhaul diesel engines, alternators, radiators, fuel systems, and cooling systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults.
• Troubleshoot starting, charging, governor, and voltage regulation issues.
• Install, commission, and decommission generator sets.
• Maintain ATS panels, battery systems, chargers, and control panels.
• Replace faulty injectors, fuel pumps, turbochargers, belts, hoses, and sensors.
• Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, servicing, and filter replacement.
• Test generator performance under load to ensure stable voltage and frequency.
• Respond quickly to emergency breakdowns and minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain service reports, maintenance records, and spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules with operations teams.
• Follow manufacturer specifications, HSE standards, and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and housekeeping standards.

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, alternators, and generator systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with generator brands such as:
  • Perkins
  • Cummins
  • Caterpillar
  • FG Wilson
  • Atlas Copco
  • Volvo Penta
  • MTU
• Familiarity with Engine Control Modules (ECM) and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong commitment to preventive maintenance and safety standards.

• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Valid Kuwaiti Heavy Driving License.
• Must be currently residing in Kuwait.
• Transferable Article 18 Visa is mandatory.
• Ability to join immediately is preferred.
