Hiring a Cook for a small restaurant in Kuwait to prepare a wide range of dishes including South Asian, North Indian, and popular snack items. Candidate should be versatile, reliable, and able to work in a fast‑paced kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and cook South Asian and North Indian main dishes, curries, breads, and gravies.
• Prepare snacks and light meals such as starters, sandwiches, and fried items.
• Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistent taste and food cost management.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and food safety standards, including proper storage and cleaning.
• Assist with inventory and ingredient prep including chopping, marination, and mise en place.
• Support service by plating, replenishing hot cases, and helping during peak hours.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and report any faults.
Requirements
• Experience: Prior cooking experience in South Asian and North Indian cuisine and snack preparation.
• Skills: Good knife skills, ability to follow recipes, time management, and multitasking under pressure.
• Food safety: Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safe handling practices.
• Work ethic: Punctual, reliable, and able to work flexible shifts including weekends.
• Visa: Mention visa/transferable status in application if applicable.
