Hiring Site Mechanical Project Engineer in Kuwait
A prominent mechanical and industrial engineering contracting consortium is recruiting a qualified Site Mechanical Engineer to oversee heavy industrial equipment installation, piping fabrication, and commissioning at Al Zour, Kuwait.
The ideal candidate should have verified GCC or local Kuwait working experience, strong professional discipline, and the ability to execute day-to-day responsibilities with high accuracy.
Applicants must hold valid Kuwait residency with transferable visa status (Article 18 or 22) and be available for immediate or near-term joining.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise site mechanical construction, static equipment erection, rotating machinery alignment, and pressure piping.
- Review mechanical engineering drawings, isometric piping schematics, P&IDs, and material test certificates.
- Coordinate with QA/QC inspectors to conduct hydrostatic testing, non-destructive testing (NDT), and punch clearing.
- Direct mechanical subcontractor work crews, monitor project milestone schedules, and enforce site safety standards.
- Prepare daily engineering logs, technical submittals, and inspection reports for client consultants.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 5 years field experience in industrial or refinery construction.
- Strong knowledge of ASME, API, and ASTM engineering standards and piping codes.
- Excellent technical leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Valid transferable Kuwait residency; ready for immediate site mobilization.
