Position: Refrigeration Chiller Technician

Role Overview

Experienced Refrigeration Chiller Technician required to install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and central chiller systems for commercial and industrial sites. The role focuses on fault diagnosis, preventive maintenance, system commissioning, and ensuring reliable cooling performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, and associated controls.

• Perform preventive maintenance on chillers, refrigeration units, and HVAC systems according to schedules.

• Commission and start up new chiller installations and assist with system balancing.

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults including motors, starters, sensors, and control panels.

• Handle refrigerant charging and recovery safely and in compliance with regulations.

• Monitor system performance and record operating parameters, pressures, and temperatures.

• Coordinate with site engineers and vendors for spare parts, major repairs, and planned shutdowns.

• Maintain service logs, maintenance reports, and parts inventory.

• Ensure HSE compliance: safe work practices, PPE usage, and proper handling of refrigerants and tools.

Requirements

• Technical diploma or certificate in Refrigeration, HVAC, Mechanical, or equivalent.

• Minimum 2–5 years’ experience working on commercial/industrial chillers and refrigeration systems.

• Hands‑on experience with centrifugal, screw, and reciprocating chillers is preferred.

• Knowledge of refrigerants, recovery procedures, and environmental regulations.

• Competent in electrical troubleshooting and reading wiring diagrams and P&IDs.

• Ability to use diagnostic tools: manifold gauges, multimeter, vacuum pump, leak detector, and charging scales.

• Valid Kuwait driving licence preferred.

• Good English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.

• Physically fit and able to work at heights and in confined spaces when required.
