Hiring Construction & Project Accountant in Kuwait

A leading building construction and general contracting company in Kuwait is urgently seeking a qualified, diligent, and competent Construction & Project Accountant to join its team in Kuwait City, Kuwait.

The ideal candidate should have verified GCC or local Kuwait working experience, strong professional discipline, and the ability to execute day-to-day responsibilities with high accuracy.

Applicants must hold valid Kuwait residency with transferable visa status (Article 18 or 22) and be available for immediate or near-term joining.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage financial accounting operations, job costing, and budget allocations for commercial construction projects.
• Analyze Bill of Quantities (BOQ), subcontractor billing, material requisitions, and variation claims.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, verifying supplier invoices against site delivery notes.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, project cash flow forecasts, and cost variance analyses for directors.
• Coordinate with site project managers and procurement officers to enforce strict budget compliance.
• Reconcile general ledger balances, project bank accounts, and prepare files for statutory annual audits.
• Adhere strictly to Kuwait financial reporting standards and internal corporate governance policies.

Requirements

• 5+ Years of solid accounting experience specifically in the contracting, construction, or civil engineering sector.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or recognized professional accounting qualification.
• Proficiency in ERP accounting suites (Tally, SAP, or QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Good bilingual communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Valid Kuwait residency with transferable visa status (Article 18).
• Strong analytical rigor, integrity, and cost control capability.
