Hiring Cost Accountant (F&B Sector) in Kuwait

A prominent hospitality and food & beverage corporate group is urgently seeking a qualified, diligent, and competent Cost Accountant (F&B Sector) to join its team in Kuwait City, Kuwait.

The ideal candidate should have verified GCC or local Kuwait working experience, strong professional discipline, and the ability to execute day-to-day responsibilities with high accuracy.

Applicants must hold valid Kuwait residency with transferable visa status (Article 18 or 22) and be available for immediate or near-term joining.

Job Responsibilities

• Calculate, analyze, and monitor standard recipe costs, theoretical food margins, and actual cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Conduct regular physical stock audits in central stores, kitchens, and restaurant outlets to investigate variances and wastage.
• Monitor raw material purchasing prices, vendor agreements, and yield percentages to recommend cost savings.
• Prepare monthly inventory valuation schedules, cost allocation reports, and financial variance summaries for senior management.
• Collaborate closely with executive chefs, procurement leads, and store managers to improve portion and inventory controls.
• Support month-end financial closing, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations related to cost accounts.
• Adhere strictly to Kuwait Labor Law regulations and internal accounting governance standards.

Requirements

• 3+ Years of verified cost accounting experience specifically in the food & beverage or restaurant hospitality sector.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or recognized accounting accreditation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, Pivot Tables) and ERP inventory/costing software.
• Strong analytical acumen, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid Kuwait residency with transferable visa status (Article 18).
• Strong bilingual or English communication skills in commercial settings.
• Immediate availability to commence employment is highly preferred.
