We are Hiring Government Relations Officer (GRO) | Kuwait

Shabakkat is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Government Relations Officer (GRO) to join its team in Kuwait.

This role is ideal for professionals with strong knowledge of Kuwait government procedures, residency and visa processing, company licensing, and regulatory compliance.

Position Details

Position: Government Relations Officer (GRO)

Key Responsibilities

• Handle government transactions, including:

  • Residency permits
  • Work visas
  • Civil ID issuance and renewals

• Process and renew company licenses and government approvals.

• Coordinate:

  • Medical examinations
  • Document attestations
  • Official translations

• Manage PIFSS (Public Institution for Social Security) procedures and related documentation.

• Maintain accurate employee and company records.

• Monitor expiry dates of licenses, permits, and legal documents.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities.

• Ensure timely processing of all government-related transactions.

• Provide regular updates to HR and management regarding application status and regulatory requirements.

• Ensure compliance with applicable Kuwaiti laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in Government Relations, PRO, or GRO roles in Kuwait.
• Background in the telecommunications or construction industry is preferred.
• Good understanding of Kuwait government procedures and online government platforms.
• Fluency in Arabic and good command of English.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple government transactions simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid Kuwait driving license.
