Procurement Manager – Oil & Gas

A company in Ahmadi, Kuwait is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager with a strong background in the Oil & Gas / Engineering sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, supplier relationships, negotiations, material sourcing, and timely delivery while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and value for the company.

• Manage and execute procurement activities for materials, components, equipment, and services.
• Lead and supervise the procurement team and manage daily purchasing activities.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop relationships with reliable suppliers.
• Assess supplier capabilities, quality, pricing, and delivery performance.
• Negotiate supplier contracts, prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Source high-quality materials while achieving competitive pricing.
• Ensure materials and services are delivered on time according to project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, project, finance, logistics, and other departments.
• Monitor purchase orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules.
• Evaluate supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and improve procurement efficiency.
• Maintain proper procurement records, supplier documentation, and commercial files.
• Ensure purchasing activities follow company policies, project requirements, and quality standards.
• Support the company in improving supply-chain efficiency and competitiveness.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a senior procurement role.
• Strong experience in Oil & Gas / Engineering procurement is required.
• Experience in material sourcing, supplier management, and commercial negotiations.
• Strong knowledge of supplier evaluation and procurement processes.
• Ability to negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, contracts, and payment terms.
• Strong understanding of supply-chain and material management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and meet project deadlines.
