Hiring Restaurant Purchasing Officer in Kuwait

A distinguished dining and cafe lounge group located in Shuwaikh, Kuwait is seeking an experienced, proactive Restaurant Purchasing Officer.

The ideal candidate should have verified GCC or local Kuwait working experience, strong professional discipline, and the ability to execute day-to-day responsibilities with high accuracy.

Applicants must hold valid Kuwait residency with transferable visa status (Article 18 or 22) and be available for immediate or near-term joining.

Job Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate competitive pricing for food ingredients, cafe consumables, and operating supplies.
• Issue purchase orders (POs) and follow up with local Kuwait vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
• Inspect incoming raw ingredients, dairy, meats, and dry provisions against quality standards and invoices.
• Monitor central restaurant stock balances, prevent food waste, and optimize reorder threshold levels.
• Collaborate closely with head chefs and storekeepers to anticipate seasonal menu procurement needs.
• Maintain accurate vendor procurement ledgers, pricing comparisons, and invoice reconciliation.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of proven purchasing experience in the restaurant, cafe, or hospitality sector in Kuwait.
• Strong knowledge of local food and beverage suppliers, wholesale markets, and pricing dynamics.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
• Valid Kuwait transferable residency (Article 18).
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
