Job Vacancy: Procurement Operations Officer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Operations Officer to join our team in Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for procurement operations, invoice verification, supplier payments, financial coordination, and maintaining accurate procurement records. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working with procurement and finance systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update records for all local and international bandwidth and hardware vendors.
- Receive Goods Receipt Vouchers (GRVs), verify supplier invoices against purchase orders, and process payments.
- Verify materials and services received before approving supplier invoices.
- Allocate invoice costs and update transactions in the GP System.
- Create and maintain fixed asset records in the GP System.
- Process accrued payables and allocate advance payments.
- Coordinate with the Accounts Receivable team for customer and vendor fund adjustments.
- Prepare payment requests, obtain Finance Manager approvals, and coordinate with the cashier for cash or cheque payments.
- Ensure goods received are in good condition and supported by approved GRVs.
- Verify supplier pricing according to approved purchase orders.
- Process and verify cost-related invoices for bandwidth and hardware vendors.
- Coordinate timely supplier payments and monitor payment schedules.
- Process advance payments against purchase orders for local and international suppliers.
- Verify advance payment settlements and update records in the system.
- Prepare reports requested by management and external auditors during financial closing periods.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement Operations, Finance, or a similar position.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, invoice verification, and supplier payment procedures.
- Experience using ERP or GP Systems is preferred.
- Good analytical, reporting, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
- Must be currently residing in Kuwait with a Transferable Article 18 Visa.
