Role Summary
Position: Cost Control Engineer
Location: Kuwait
Experience Required: 3–5 years in cost engineering and project controls for construction projects
A detail‑oriented Cost Control Engineer is required to support cost estimation, budgeting, cost control, and project monitoring. The role ensures projects are delivered within approved budgets and timelines through accurate forecasting, variance analysis, and professional reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost breakdowns from drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements.
• Cost Control Systems: Implement and monitor cost control systems; track actual costs versus budget and analyze variances.
• Project Planning & Monitoring: Support planning activities and monitor progress against cost and schedule baselines.
• Primavera P6 Utilization: Perform cost loading, resource loading, progress tracking, and performance analysis in Primavera P6.
• Earned Value Management: Prepare and analyze EVM reports including CPI, SPI, cost variance, and schedule variance.
• Monthly Cost Reporting: Produce monthly cost reports, cost‑to‑complete, cash flow forecasts, and management dashboards.
• Quantity Takeoff & BOQ Review: Perform quantity takeoffs and review BOQs for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordination: Collaborate with Planning, Procurement, Estimation, and Project Management teams to align cost and schedule data.
• Documentation: Maintain organized cost data, reports, and project financial records with professional presentation.
Qualifications and Skills
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) — mandatory.
• Experience: 3–5 years in cost engineering/project controls within construction projects.
• Software: Proficiency in Primavera P6 for cost/resource loading and progress tracking; advanced MS Excel skills.
• Methodologies: Strong knowledge of cost control systems, budgeting, forecasting, and Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Certifications (preferred): Cost Engineering/Cost Management training; Primavera P6, PMP, or PICs.
• Other: Excellent analytical and reporting skills; ability to work bilingually English & Arabic preferred; strong coordination and communication skills.
