Automation Engineer

Role Summary
A leading construction company requires an experienced Automation Engineer to work on water and wastewater projects. The role covers design, programming, integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and documentation for industrial automation and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement PLC, SCADA, and DCS control systems.
- Develop control logic and HMI screens; configure SCADA and alarm management.
- Integrate field instruments and control panels with PLCs, DCS, and industrial networks.
- Prepare automation documentation: control philosophy, functional descriptions, I/O lists, cause & effect matrices.
- Perform FAT/SAT and site commissioning, loop testing, and troubleshooting.
- Support installation activities and ensure panel and site quality.
- Prepare trackers, reports, and technical documentation per project specifications.
- Coordinate with project teams, vendors, and clients to meet technical and safety standards.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial automation, preferably in water and wastewater projects.
- Strong hands‑on experience with PLC programming, SCADA, and DCS systems.
- Proven ability in control system integration and industrial communication networks.
- Experience with FAT/SAT, commissioning, loop testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to develop and interpret control philosophies, I/O lists, and automation documentation.
- Familiarity with international automation standards and safety practices.
- Strong technical documentation, coordination, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Automation, Electrical, Control, or related engineering field.
- Experience with major platforms such as Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Emerson, Honeywell.
- Prior exposure to control panel design and site installation practices.
Working Conditions
- Projects based on water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Site visits and commissioning activities required.
