A reputable employer is seeking a qualified Chemical Engineer to design, optimize, and support chemical processes and equipment for oil & gas and industrial process plants. The role focuses on improving efficiency, ensuring safety, minimizing operational risks, and maintaining product quality across operations and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize chemical processes for oil & gas and industrial plants.
- Prepare mass and energy balances, PFDs, and P&IDs.
- Select and evaluate process equipment (heat exchangers, pumps, reactors, separators, compressors, distillation systems).
- Conduct HAZOP/HAZID and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
- Analyze plant performance and recommend improvements.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
- Support projects from engineering through commissioning and start‑up.
- Prepare technical reports and engineering documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial process plants.
- Strong knowledge of process design and system optimization.
- Good understanding of safety standards (OSHA, API, NFPA, ISO).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process diagrams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Valid Kuwait driving license and own car preferred.
- Transferable Article 18 visa (Ahli) is mandatory.

- Relevant hands‑on experience in process design, operations, or project engineering is required.
