Role Summary
A reputable employer in Kuwait is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with proven building maintenance experience to manage, maintain, and optimize mechanical building systems. The role focuses on ensuring reliable operation of HVAC, plumbing, pumps, and firefighting systems while supervising maintenance teams and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems including AHUs, FCUs, chillers, and exhaust fans.
• Maintain water supply and drainage systems, plumbing fixtures, and pumps.
• Oversee firefighting systems and ensure readiness and compliance.
• Supervise and coordinate technicians and external contractors for repairs and preventive work.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Prepare maintenance reports, logs, and documentation for daily and scheduled tasks.
• Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues and support site operations.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Civil, and ELV teams for integrated building services.
• Manage spare parts inventory and request materials as needed.
• Support energy‑saving initiatives and recommend efficiency improvements.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Proven experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or MEP operations.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC, pumps, plumbing, firefighting systems, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Skills: Good diagnostic and troubleshooting skills; ability to prepare technical reports.
• Supervisory Ability: Experience supervising technicians and coordinating contractors.
• Compliance: Familiarity with safety standards, codes, and building regulations.
• Other: Valid Kuwait driving license preferred; transferable residency preferred; immediate availability is an advantage.
