MEP Projects – Kuwait

Role Summary
A reputable employer in Kuwait is seeking a qualified Safety Engineer with a strong MEP background and valid KOC/KNPC approval to implement and enforce HSE standards on MEP project sites. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with client and regulatory safety requirements and promoting safe work practices across projects.

Key Responsibilities
• Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures at MEP project sites.
• Ensure compliance with KOC/KNPC safety standards and Kuwait regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSA), and hazard identification.
• Monitor site activities to enforce safe work practices and proper use of PPE.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare investigation reports and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and client representatives on safety matters.
• Maintain safety documentation, reports, and audit records.
• Support internal and external HSE audits and inspections.

Qualifications and Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
• Experience: 8–10 years in MEP projects; experience in Oil & Gas sector preferred.
• Approvals: Mandatory valid KOC/KNPC approval.
• Certifications: NEBOSH or IOSH preferred.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Kuwait safety regulations and international HSE standards.
• Skills: Excellent communication, reporting, and incident investigation skills.
• Residency: Local hiring only; transferable visa (Article 18) preferred.
