Hiring an experienced Procurement Officer with a Bachelor in Civil Engineering to manage international procurement for project equipment, materials, and services. Prior experience in the Kuwait procurement market is preferred. Accommodation provided; visa transfer and joining within one week.
Key Responsibilities
• International procurement: Source and procure equipment, materials, and services per project schedules.
• Supplier sourcing: Identify suppliers, obtain and evaluate quotations, and maintain supplier relationships.
• Negotiation: Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost and timelines.
• Order follow up: Track contracts, production, shipment, and delivery status until site receipt.
• Logistics coordination: Coordinate shipping, customs clearance, and site delivery logistics.
• Issue management: Manage delays, quality issues, quantity discrepancies, and assist with claims.
• Documentation: Maintain complete procurement records and ensure compliance with procurement procedures.
• Cross‑functional coordination: Work closely with engineering, technical, commercial, finance, and warehouse teams for smooth execution.
Requirements and Skills
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: Proven experience in procurement; familiarity with Kuwait procurement market preferred.
• Technical: Strong understanding of international sourcing, shipping, customs, and logistics.
• Commercial: Good negotiation skills, cost estimation, and supplier evaluation.
• Operational: Ability to manage multiple purchase orders, track lead times, and resolve supply issues.
• Soft skills: Strong communication, documentation, and coordination abilities.
• Other: Ready to join within a week; accommodation provided and visa transfer offered.
