Procurement Officer (Kuwait)
Job Description
UAPCO is looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join our team. The role involves managing procurement operations, ensuring timely purchasing, and supporting supply chain functions to meet company needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily procurement tasks including RFQs, purchase requests (PR), and purchase orders (PO).
• Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and contractors.
• Prepare cost analysis and quotation comparisons.
• Monitor inventory levels and handle reordering requirements.
• Coordinate with departments to understand material and service needs.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor details.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and audit standards.
• Follow up on deliveries, quality checks, and payment settlements.
Requirements
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing (preferably in Kuwait).
• Knowledge of international purchasing practices.
• Familiarity with local suppliers, vendors, and the Kuwait market.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Arabic language skills are an advantage (not mandatory).
• Must hold a Transferable Article 18 visa.
