Hiring Procurement & Planning Engineer in Kuwait
Location: Amghara, Kuwait
Gulf Center United Industrial Equipment Co.
We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Procurement & Planning Engineer to join our commercial team. The successful candidate will manage procurement processes and develop execution plans for projects involving structural steel, piping, tanks, and process equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive material take‑off lists and BOQs from the Quantity Surveyor
• Prepare and issue RFQs to local and international suppliers
• Collect, compare, and organize supplier quotations for commercial evaluation
• Develop and maintain detailed process plans (material receiving, storage, fabrication, welding, inspection, delivery)
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, logistics providers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• 2–10 years of experience in procurement, planning, or technical office roles within the industrial/fabrication sector
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Strong knowledge of INCOTERMS and international trade regulations
• Familiarity with fabrication processes for structural steel, piping, tanks, and process equipment
• Experience with local and international suppliers and logistics providers
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks (advantage)
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
Salary: Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications
