Mechanical & Electrical Engineers – Tendering & Estimation
Job Description
A reputed company in Kuwait is looking for experienced Mechanical and Electrical Engineers to join the Tendering & Estimation Team for Trading, Contracting, and EPC projects.
The ideal candidates should have strong experience in tender preparation, BOQ development, quantity take-off, cost estimation, and technical & commercial proposal preparation.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare detailed BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender submissions.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, scope of work, and contract requirements.
- Analyze project requirements and prepare accurate technical and commercial proposals.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
- Evaluate material, equipment, manpower, and subcontracting costs.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, project standards, and tender requirements.
- Support the complete tendering process from initial inquiry until final submission.
- Maintain accurate estimation records and support project cost planning.
Candidates should have experience in estimation and tendering for:
- Pipeline and piping systems.
- Pipes, fittings, valves, and related accessories.
- Mechanical equipment installation and maintenance works.
- Structural steel fabrication and installation.
- Skids, packages, and process equipment.
- HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing systems.
- Industrial and Oil & Gas mechanical works.
Candidates should have experience in estimation and tendering for:
- LV/MV electrical power distribution systems.
- Cable systems, cable trays, and containment works.
- Lighting, earthing, and lightning protection systems.
- Electrical equipment installation works.
- Instrumentation systems and field instruments.
- Control systems, PLC/SCADA-related works.
- Testing, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in:
- Tendering & Estimation
- BOQ Preparation
- Quantity Take-Off
- Cost Analysis
- Bid Submission
- Experience in Kuwait/GCC projects is preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, standards, and contract documents.
- Good knowledge of materials, equipment, and current market pricing.
- Excellent analytical, commercial, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation software.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and meet strict deadlines.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:
- KOC Projects
- KNPC Projects
- KIPIC Projects
- US Army / USACE Projects
- MEW / MPW Projects
