Matbakhi by Sawsan is looking for an experienced and creative Pastry Chef to join its team in Al Qurain, Kuwait.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in preparing cakes, pastries, desserts, and other baked products, along with a strong understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.

• Prepare a wide variety of cakes, pastries, desserts, and baked products.
• Follow recipes and preparation methods consistently.
• Maintain high standards of taste, presentation, and quality.
• Prepare ingredients and manage pastry production efficiently.
• Ensure proper food preparation and handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the pastry kitchen.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
• Organize pastry ingredients, tools, and equipment properly.
• Monitor product quality and ensure consistent presentation.
• Develop creative dessert and pastry ideas when required.
• Manage multiple preparation tasks efficiently during busy periods.
• Work closely with the kitchen and restaurant team.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
• Minimize food wastage through proper preparation and storage.

• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef.
• Previous experience in a restaurant, catering company, bakery, or hotel is preferred.
• Strong skills in preparing cakes, pastries, desserts, and baked products.
• Good knowledge of pastry preparation and presentation.
• Knowledge of proper food preparation and handling procedures.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and food safety standards.
• Creative and organized approach to pastry production.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be currently residing in Kuwait.
• Transferable Article 18 visa is preferred.
• Immediate availability is an advantage.
