Hiring Plumbing & Firefighting Mechanical Draftsman in Kuwait
A leading MEP contracting and engineering consultancy firm located in Al Rai, Kuwait is seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Draftsman specializing in plumbing and firefighting systems.
The ideal candidate should have verified GCC or local Kuwait working experience, strong professional discipline, and the ability to execute day-to-day responsibilities with high accuracy.
Applicants must hold valid Kuwait residency with transferable visa status (Article 18 or 22) and be available for immediate or near-term joining.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D shop drawings for commercial plumbing, drainage, water supply, and firefighting systems.
- Produce coordinated MEP layout drawings, identifying and resolving clashes with architectural and structural models.
- Develop schematic piping diagrams, riser diagrams, pump room layouts, and installation details.
- Ensure all drafting submissions strictly comply with Kuwait Fire Directorate (KFD) and Ministry of Electricity & Water (MEW) standards.
- Generate accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material take-offs, and as-built drawing revisions.
- Liaise closely with project managers, site mechanical engineers, and consultant representatives.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of verified drafting experience inside Kuwait on commercial and industrial MEP projects.
- Expert mastery of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and building services drafting software.
- In-depth knowledge of international plumbing codes (IPC) and NFPA fire protection standards.
- Valid Kuwait residency with transferable visa (Article 18).
