Applus is seeking experienced engineering professionals to support utility and power network projects in Kuwait.
Open PositionsPower System Studies Specialist Engineer (2 Positions)Key Expertise:
- PSS®E power system studies
- European or comparable interconnected power networks
- System analysis and network performance studies
Key Expertise:
- Network planning
- Siemens Spectrum SCADA/EMS
- Interconnection transactions
- Power system operations support
Key Expertise:
- Utility network operations
- Siemens Spectrum SCADA/EMS
- Power system monitoring and control
Key Expertise:
- Power trading
- Tariff development
- Techno-economic evaluation
- Power purchase agreements
Key Expertise:
- Protection coordination
- Relay settings
- PSS®E
- ASPEN OneLiner or equivalent software
Key Expertise:
- RTUs
- Fibre optics
- Utility communication networks
- Telemetry systems
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience for all positions.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- MSc/PhD preferred for selected positions.
- Proven experience in transmission utilities or interconnected power networks.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Willingness to be based in Kuwait.
