Job Vacancy: Procurement Engineer – HVAC

A growing company in Ahmadi, Kuwait is looking for a dynamic and experienced Procurement Engineer to support its HVAC projects and ongoing market expansion.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in HVAC procurement, supplier management, sourcing, RFQs, purchase orders, material coordination, and cost negotiation.

• Review HVAC project specifications, drawings, and material requirements.
• Prepare and process Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
• Source HVAC equipment, materials, spare parts, and subcontractor services from approved suppliers.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations based on technical specifications, quality, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain updated vendor databases.
• Ensure purchased materials meet project specifications and company standards.
• Track procurement activities and follow up on deliveries to prevent project delays.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost comparisons, and budget analyses.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or performance.
• Coordinate import/export documentation and customs clearance when required.
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality, quantity, and delivery discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
• Source materials and consumables required for Heresite and Hereshield coating applications, including related equipment.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, systems, and materials, including familiarity with major brands such as:

• Daikin
• Carrier
• Trane
• York

Knowledge of HVAC spare parts, equipment sourcing, consumables, and project-specific procurement requirements will be an advantage.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in HVAC procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, equipment, and materials.
• Experience with supplier sourcing and vendor management.
• Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures and contract management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
