Job Vacancy: Senior Accountant – Restaurant / F&B

A premium lifestyle restaurant in Kuwait City is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its finance team.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in restaurant accounting, financial reporting, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, inventory, and profitability analysis. Applicants who are already in Kuwait and available to join immediately are preferred.

• Manage daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and analyze monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements.
• Prepare regular financial performance and management reports.
• Develop and monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Analyze restaurant revenue and overall financial performance.
• Monitor food cost, beverage cost, labor cost, and operating expenses.
• Maintain effective cost-control procedures to reduce unnecessary expenses.
• Monitor inventory valuation, wastage, stock variances, and related reports.
• Review daily sales, purchases, expenses, and supplier transactions.
• Prepare cash flow reports and support financial planning.
• Analyze financial data and provide useful recommendations to management.
• Coordinate with operations, purchasing, suppliers, and management teams.
• Identify financial discrepancies and assist in resolving accounting issues.
• Support management in improving restaurant profitability and operational efficiency.
• Ensure accounting records comply with company policies and applicable accounting standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
• Previous experience in restaurants, hospitality, or Food & Beverage (F&B) is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant accounting and financial management.
• Hands-on experience with P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Good understanding of food cost, beverage cost, labor cost, inventory, and wastage control.
• Strong skills in financial reporting and cost analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Applicants must be currently residing in Kuwait.
