Job Vacancy: Agriculture Engineer – Plant Nursery

United Agriculture & Livestock Production Co. (UAPCO) is looking for an experienced and responsible Agriculture Engineer to join the team in Kuwait.

The ideal candidate should have practical experience in plant nursery management, agricultural manpower supervision, plant care, irrigation, fertilization, pruning, and pest and disease control.

• Manage and supervise daily operations of the plant nursery.
• Plan and allocate daily tasks to agricultural workers and manpower.
• Monitor workers' performance and ensure assigned tasks are completed properly.
• Supervise nursery maintenance and overall plant growth.
• Ensure proper watering and irrigation schedules are followed.
• Monitor plant health and identify signs of pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
• Oversee fertilization, pruning, trimming, planting, and general plant maintenance.
• Maintain proper nursery hygiene and organization.
• Ensure plants receive appropriate care according to their type and growth requirements.
• Coordinate manpower and resources to maintain smooth nursery operations.
• Monitor the quality and condition of plants.
• Maintain daily work records, manpower reports, and nursery maintenance reports.
• Report operational issues, plant health concerns, and manpower requirements to management.
• Ensure agricultural activities are carried out safely and efficiently.

• Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in plant nursery management is required.
• Experience supervising and managing agricultural workers.
• Practical knowledge of plant care and nursery maintenance.
• Good knowledge of:
  • Irrigation systems
  • Fertilization
  • Pruning and trimming
  • Plant propagation
  • Pest control
  • Plant disease management
  • Soil and plant nutrition
• Ability to plan and distribute daily work activities.
• Strong leadership and manpower management skills.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to prepare daily records and operational reports.
• Experience in a commercial plant nursery is preferred.
• Candidates with relevant Kuwait or GCC agricultural experience will be an advantage.
