Hiring Specialty Barista & Pastry Assistant in Kuwait
A chic specialty coffee house and artisan bakery located in Sharq, Kuwait is recruiting passionate Pastry Assistants & Specialty Baristas.
The ideal candidate should have verified GCC or local Kuwait working experience, strong professional discipline, and the ability to execute day-to-day responsibilities with high accuracy.
Applicants must hold valid Kuwait residency with transferable visa status (Article 18 or 22) and be available for immediate or near-term joining.
Job Responsibilities
- Calibrate espresso grinders daily, extracting balanced single-origin shots using commercial La Marzocco machines.
- Steam silky micro-foam milk and pour intricate latte art designs on flat whites, cappuccinos, and lattes.
- Brew manual pour-overs (V60, Chemex, Aeropress) highlighting distinctive bean origin flavor notes.
- Assist pastry chefs in decorating croissants, assembling delicate tarts, and displaying baked goods.
- Maintain immaculate cafe counter hygiene, backwashing espresso groupheads and sanitizing steam wands.
- Deliver warm, engaging hospitality, guiding guests through roast profiles and flavor pairings.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of specialty coffee brewing or artisan pastry assistant experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of coffee dialing-in, extraction ratios, and milk texturing.
- Valid Kuwait Baladiya Food Handler Health Card.
- Valid Kuwait residency with transferable visa (Article 18).
