Hiring Heavy Equipment Maintenance Planning & Cost Control Officer
A company in Kuwait is looking for an organized and analytical Heavy Equipment Maintenance Planning & Cost Control Officer to support equipment maintenance planning, cost monitoring, reporting, and day-to-day coordination.
The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in heavy equipment maintenance planning, fleet maintenance, or maintenance cost control, along with strong Excel and reporting skills.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain preventive and corrective maintenance plans for heavy equipment.
- Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure planned activities are completed on time.
- Track equipment maintenance activities, repair requirements, and downtime.
- Monitor spare parts requirements and coordinate availability with the relevant teams.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance history.
- Track maintenance costs, budgets, invoices, and expenditures.
- Compare actual maintenance costs against planned budgets.
- Prepare regular maintenance reports and cost-control summaries.
- Analyze equipment performance, downtime, repair frequency, and maintenance expenses.
- Coordinate with maintenance, operations, procurement, and suppliers.
- Follow up on repair activities and pending maintenance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment utilization and maintenance costs.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment availability and reliability.
- Recommend ways to reduce unnecessary maintenance expenses.
- Support management with maintenance performance and cost-related information.
- Ensure maintenance documentation and records are kept accurate and up to date.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in maintenance planning and/or cost control.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Experience with heavy machinery, construction equipment, or fleet maintenance is preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and maintenance planning/reporting systems.
- Understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
- Ability to track maintenance schedules, downtime, spare parts, and costs.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent organizational and reporting skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to work with maintenance, operations, procurement, and suppliers.
- Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records.
