Hiring Commis Chef in Kuwait
A premier high-end steakhouse and international cuisine restaurant in Kuwait City is urgently seeking an enthusiastic, passionate, and competent Commis Chef to join its culinary brigade in Kuwait City, Kuwait.
The ideal candidate should have verified GCC or local Kuwait working experience, strong professional discipline, and the ability to execute day-to-day responsibilities with high accuracy.
Applicants must hold valid Kuwait residency with transferable visa status (Article 18 or 22) and be available for immediate or near-term joining.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute mise-en-place for the steak, grill, and cold pantry stations prior to daily dining services.
- Assist Chef de Partie with grilling premium steaks, preparing sauces, and plating gourmet international entrees.
- Maintain strict adherence to culinary recipes, portion weights, and artistic plate garnishing standards.
- Comply with Kuwait food hygiene directives, clean workstation counters, and sanitize cutting boards continuously.
- Label, date, and store raw ingredients, butchered meats, and dairy stocks following HACCP / FIFO practices.
- Assist with daily kitchen inventory checks and replenish stock levels before dinner service.
- Collaborate harmoniously with kitchen teammates to ensure flawless service speed.
Requirements
- 2-4 Years of culinary experience in high-end steakhouses, upscale hotel kitchens, or premium international dining.
- Sound working knowledge of kitchen hygiene, safe knife handling, and meat prep standards.
- Valid Kuwait Baladiya Health Card is mandatory.
- Valid Kuwait residency with transferable visa status (Article 18 Ahli, no small project visa).
- Positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and ability to handle busy kitchen rushes.
- Immediate availability to commence employment is highly preferred.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: KWD 180–200 per month plus company accommodation, transportation, and duty meals.
