Job Vacancy: Electrical Draughtsman

A company in Kuwait is looking for a skilled and experienced Electrical Draughtsman to join its team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in LV/MV switchgear manufacturing and be proficient in electrical drafting and design software.

Candidates with hands-on experience in AutoCAD, EPLAN, switchgear drawings, relay logic, GA drawings, SLDs, and schematic diagrams are encouraged to apply.

• Prepare accurate electrical drawings for LV/MV/HV switchgear and relay/control panels.
• Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings according to project and manufacturing requirements.
• Prepare and modify Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and electrical schematic drawings.
• Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD and EPLAN 2D/3D.
• Prepare relay logic diagrams and control panel drawings.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with technical requirements.
• Make revisions based on engineering, production, or project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure drawings are suitable for production.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing records.
• Work independently while meeting project deadlines and drawing requirements.

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 4–5 years of relevant experience in electrical drafting.
• Experience in an LV/MV switchgear manufacturing company is required.
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Strong working knowledge of EPLAN 2D/3D.
• Experience preparing:
  • General Arrangement (GA) drawings
  • Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
  • Electrical schematic drawings
  • Relay and control panel drawings
• Good knowledge of relay logic diagrams.
• Strong understanding of LV/MV/HV switchgear and control panels.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Good attention to detail and technical drawing accuracy.
