We’re Hiring – Estimator Required for Wood Factory in Kuwait
A busy and growing wood factory in Kuwait is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join its team.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in woodwork, joinery, system furniture, or furniture manufacturing, with strong knowledge of material costing, labor requirements, architectural drawings, supplier pricing, and project estimation.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for wood, joinery, and furniture projects.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Calculate material quantities, labor costs, production requirements, and project timelines.
- Work closely with project managers and design teams to prepare accurate estimates.
- Source and evaluate materials, suppliers, and subcontractor quotations.
- Compare supplier prices and identify competitive costing options.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and estimation reports.
- Provide cost explanations and justifications to clients and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor project budgets and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with site teams, suppliers, production teams, and project management.
- Review changes in project scope and update estimates accordingly.
- Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and prepared within required deadlines.
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the wood, joinery, or furniture industry.
- Experience with woodwork, system furniture, joinery, or furniture manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of materials, construction methods, and costing techniques.
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and project specifications.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating tools/software.
- Experience with specialist estimating programs is an advantage.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Background in carpentry, joinery, or furniture manufacturing is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively with project managers, designers, suppliers, and site teams.
- Salary: KWD 300 per month
