Job Vacancy: Furniture & Joinery Draftsman – Wood Factory

A busy wood factory in Kuwait is looking for an experienced and technically skilled Joinery / Woodwork Draftsman to join its production team.

The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently and preparing accurate, detailed, and production-ready shop drawings for a wide range of custom joinery and furniture items based on architectural drawings, specifications, site conditions, and project requirements.

• Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings and production drawings.
• Develop accurate construction details for different types of woodwork and joinery.
• Prepare drawings for:
  • Doors
  • Wall paneling
  • Wardrobes
  • Kitchens
  • Cabinets
  • Counters
  • Custom furniture
  • Reception desks
  • Other bespoke joinery items
• Produce detailed plans, elevations, sections, and assembly details.
• Review architectural and interior design drawings before preparing production details.
• Coordinate drawings with site conditions, dimensions, materials, hardware, and project specifications.
• Prepare drawings suitable for factory production and site installation.
• Ensure all dimensions, materials, hardware, and construction details are accurately represented.
• Review completed drawings carefully to identify and correct technical errors.
• Coordinate with production and project teams regarding technical requirements and detailing.
• Make drawing revisions based on project or site requirements.
• Ensure drawings are completed accurately and within project deadlines.

• Proven experience as a Joinery / Woodwork Draftsman.
• Strong knowledge of joinery construction, wood materials, hardware, and manufacturing methods.
• Ability to understand and interpret architectural and interior design drawings.
• Ability to independently prepare complete joinery details with minimum supervision.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Experience in a woodwork factory, joinery company, furniture factory, or interior fit-out company is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of furniture and custom joinery production requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and dimensional accuracy.
• Good technical drawing and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Strong coordination skills with production, project, and site teams.

• Salary: KWD 300 per month
