Job Vacancy: HSE Officer – Kuwait

A company in Kuwait is looking for a proactive and experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer to lead safety activities, enforce HSE standards, and ensure safe working practices across facility maintenance and construction operations.

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant HSE experience.
• Experience in facility maintenance or construction is required.
• Must be currently residing in Kuwait.
• Valid transferable Kuwait residency is mandatory.
• Good knowledge of:
  • Electrical systems
  • Mechanical systems
  • Firefighting systems
  • Fire alarm systems
  • Low-voltage and high-voltage maintenance
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Good understanding of workplace safety procedures and HSE standards.

• Prepare and submit HSE plans and required safety documentation.
• Coordinate closely with the client's HSE team.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the workplace.
• Ensure compliance with local and international HSE standards.
• Supervise site activities involving electrical, mechanical, firefighting, and fire alarm systems.
• Monitor low-voltage and high-voltage maintenance activities.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections.
• Organize and conduct regular toolbox meetings/talks.
• Identify hazards and unsafe working conditions.
• Report incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices.
• Recommend and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure workers properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Check PPE availability and ensure it is properly maintained.
• Support management and site teams in maintaining a safe working environment.
