Role Summary

Hiring an experienced Italian Pizza Chef for an authentic Italian restaurant. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in dough development, traditional Italian techniques (Neapolitan, Roman, or similar), and the ability to deliver consistent, high‑quality pizzas in a busy kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare doughs and starters using traditional Italian methods and manage fermentation schedules.

• Produce pizzas to specification including stretching, topping, and baking in deck or wood‑fired ovens.

• Maintain product consistency for crust, bake, and presentation across service periods.

• Develop and refine recipes for sauces, doughs, and seasonal toppings.

• Manage kitchen station: mise en place, inventory control, and ingredient rotation.

• Train and supervise junior kitchen staff on pizza techniques and food safety.

• Ensure hygiene and safety standards are met, including proper oven handling and cleaning.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Pizza Chef in Italian restaurants or pizzerias.

• Strong knowledge of Neapolitan, Roman, or artisan pizza techniques and oven management.

• Minimum experience: 3+ years preferred; exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered.

• Culinary diploma or relevant certification is an advantage.

• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and peak service hours.

• Good teamwork, time management, and communication skills.

• Portfolio of photos or short videos of previous pizza work is highly desirable.
