Role Summary
A reputable oil & gas company in Kuwait is seeking an experienced Accountant with strong project accounting skills to manage financial transactions, letters of credit, guarantees, cashflow, and project purchase orders.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage LC, Bank Guarantee, and PBG preparation and follow up.
• Prepare and monitor cashflow forecasts and liquidity reports.
• Maintain project accounting including tracking Purchase Orders, project costs, and budget variances.
• Reconcile vendor statements, process supplier payments, and manage invoicing.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, assist with audits, and support project cost control.
• Coordinate with procurement, project managers, and banks for financial documentation and clearances.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and Kuwait accounting standards.
Candidate Requirements
• Minimum 5 years accounting experience, preferably in oil & gas or EPC sectors.
• Proven experience handling LC, Bank Guarantees, PBGs, and cashflow management.
• Strong knowledge of project accounting, PO management, and vendor reconciliation.
• Proficient with accounting software and MS Excel; ERP experience preferred.
• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Detail oriented, strong analytical skills, and good communication.
• Kuwait work authorization or locally available preferred.
