Role Summary
A reputed engineering trading company in Kuwait is hiring a Procurement and Logistics Officer (Male) to manage end‑to‑end purchasing and logistics for project and trading operations. The role covers placing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, coordinating shipments, and ensuring timely delivery to client warehouses.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage Purchase Orders: Raise, follow up, and close POs from requisition to delivery.
• Supplier Coordination: Source vendors, obtain quotations, negotiate terms, and maintain supplier relationships.
• Logistics Coordination: Arrange shipping, freight, customs clearance, and last‑mile delivery to client warehouses.
• Delivery Tracking: Monitor shipment status, update stakeholders, and resolve transit issues.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain shipping documents, invoices, delivery receipts, and customs paperwork.
• Inventory Liaison: Coordinate with warehouse/stock teams to ensure accurate receipt and stock records.
• Reporting: Maintain trackers for POs, deliveries, lead times, and logistics costs; prepare regular status reports.
• Cross‑functional Coordination: Work closely with sales, projects, procurement, and accounts teams to meet client timelines.
Candidate Requirements
• Gender: Male (as specified).
• Experience: Proven experience in procurement and logistics, preferably within engineering, trading, or construction sectors.
• Driving License: Valid Kuwait driving license required.
• Skills: Strong negotiation, vendor management, documentation, and MS Excel skills.
• Communication: Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Work Authorization: Currently residing in Kuwait with valid residency preferred.
• Attitude: Organized, proactive, and able to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
