KOC Project — Urgent
We are hiring an experienced Safety Officer for a Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) project. This is an urgent requirement with attractive compensation for qualified candidates.
Job Summary
• Project: Kuwait Oil Company (KOC)
• Role: Safety Officer — site-based HSE responsibilities for a contracting company
• Salary: KD 500–550
• Location: Kuwait
• Priority: Candidates with prior KOC approval will be given preference.
Minimum Qualifications (choose one option)
• Option 1
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science or Diploma in Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years working as HSE personnel in relevant fields.
• Option 2
• Education: High school certificate.
• Certifications: NEBOSH from a reputable institute.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years total experience, including 7 years as HSE personnel in relevant fields.
Required Certifications and Training
• Certified courses in one or more of: General Industrial Safety; Construction Safety; Environmental Management; Industrial Hygiene; ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 Lead Auditor; NEBOSH; ASSP Global Safety Management or equivalent.
• KOC-compliant First Aider certification (as per KOC.HE.004) — mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement and enforce HSE policies and procedures on site.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and toolbox talks.
• Monitor compliance with KOC and company safety standards.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and KOC representatives on HSE matters.
• Maintain HSE records, permits, and training documentation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• Proven track record working on oil, construction, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of KOC safety requirements and local regulations.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Able to work on-site and adapt to project schedules.
