Planning & Estimation Engineer Required – Kuwait
OK Interiors – Kuwait is looking for a motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented Planning & Estimation Engineer to join its team.
The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in planning, estimation, interior fit-out, or construction, along with strong knowledge of BOQs, quantity take-offs, project costing, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel.
Job Responsibilities- Review and analyze BOQs, drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Carefully evaluate project requirements before preparing estimates.
- Verify quantities, materials, measurements, and project costs.
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for project requirements.
- Prepare and review quotations for clients and projects.
- Develop commercial proposals based on project requirements.
- Assist with tender preparation and submission.
- Ensure all BOQ items are evaluated accurately.
- Identify discrepancies or missing information in drawings and tender documents.
- Identify project variations and assess potential cost impacts.
- Prepare detailed project cost estimates.
- Coordinate with internal teams to clarify technical and commercial requirements.
- Maintain accurate estimation records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure estimates are completed accurately and within deadlines.
- Support the planning and commercial team with project-related requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required.
- Experience in planning, estimation, interior fit-out, or construction.
- Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation and review.
- Good understanding of quantity take-offs and project estimation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
