URGENT HIRING – QUANTITY SURVEYOR (QS)
A leading company in Kuwait is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) with strong experience in Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical, or industrial construction projects.
The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of quantity surveying, estimation, cost control, measurements, variations, claims, and commercial management, particularly for piping, pipeline, tank, structural, civil, and mechanical works.
Job Responsibilities- Prepare and review BOQs, quantity take-offs, estimates, and cost calculations.
- Conduct accurate quantity measurements based on approved drawings and specifications.
- Perform regular site measurements and verify completed works.
- Monitor project quantities and maintain quantity tracking sheets.
- Prepare interim payment applications and final accounts.
- Prepare and evaluate Variation Orders and Change Orders.
- Prepare variation claims and supporting documentation for additional works.
- Verify subcontractor measurements, invoices, and payment applications.
- Review drawings and identify changes that may affect quantities and project costs.
- Maintain records of executed quantities and supporting documents.
- Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, and Project Management teams.
- Assist in preparing project budgets, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
- Review client BOQs and contract requirements for accurate commercial management.
- Support the preparation of claims and additional work documentation.
- Maintain proper documentation for client and subcontractor billing.
- 5–10 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience.
- Strong experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, or Industrial Construction.
- Practical experience with:
- Piping & Pipeline Works
- Storage Tanks
- Structural Steel Works
- Mechanical Works
- Civil Works
- Fabrication & Erection
- Strong understanding of BOQ, BBS, quantity take-off, measurement, valuation, variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of quantity surveying and cost-control software.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and commercial skills.
- Good coordination and communication skills.
- Kuwait or GCC project experience is preferred.
- Experience with KOC, KNPC, or other major Oil & Gas clients is an added advantage.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in:
- Quantity Surveying
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Related Engineering field
