Job Vacancy: Electrical Engineer – Substations & Electrical Construction

A company in Kuwait City is looking for a qualified and motivated Electrical Engineer to join its team. The position is suitable for candidates with 1–3 years of experience in substations or electrical construction, while strong fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge will also be considered.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of HV, MV, and LV electrical systems, cable installation, electrical construction practices, and technical standards.

• Support electrical construction and installation activities at project sites.
• Assist with substation and electrical infrastructure works.
• Monitor HV, MV, and LV electrical installation activities.
• Supervise and coordinate cable installation works.
• Review electrical drawings and ensure work is carried out according to project requirements.
• Assist with site inspections and technical coordination.
• Coordinate with technicians, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Prepare and maintain electrical project documentation.
• Use AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel for drawings, reports, and project-related tasks.
• Assist with project planning and scheduling when required.
• Ensure electrical works follow applicable safety and quality procedures.
• Support senior engineers with day-to-day project and site activities.

• B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in substations or electrical construction.
• Strong fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge will also be considered.
• Good knowledge of:

  • LV systems
  • Cable installation
  • Electrical construction
  • Substation works
• Familiarity with MEW Kuwait standards is an advantage.
• Knowledge of IEC standards is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of Primavera or MS Project is an advantage.
• Good English communication skills.
• Arabic language knowledge is an advantage.
• Transferable Kuwait residency is preferred.
• Good technical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work in a site/project environment.

• Salary: KWD 300 per month.
