A leading company in Kuwait is urgently hiring a Safety Officer with strong HSE background in petrochemical or oil & gas refinery environments. The role requires expertise in electrical safety, job safety analysis, and compliance with KEPA requirements.
Qualifications
• Education:
• 3‑year Diploma in Electrical / Instrument / Mechanical Engineering, OR
• 3‑year Bachelor’s degree in Science.
• Experience:
• Minimum 5 years in HSE within petrochemical or oil & gas refineries.
• Proven knowledge of electrical safety and job safety analysis facilitation.
• Familiarity with KEPA requirements (Kuwait Environmental Public Authority).
• Other Requirements:
• Good command of English (written and spoken).
• Valid Kuwaiti driving license.
• Attested certificates from Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA).
Key Responsibilities
• Implement and monitor HSE policies across refinery and petrochemical operations.
• Conduct risk assessments and job safety analysis for electrical and mechanical activities.
• Ensure compliance with KEPA regulations and company safety standards.
• Facilitate safety training sessions and toolbox talks for site teams.
• Inspect work sites and enforce corrective actions for unsafe practices.
• Maintain safety documentation and prepare reports for management and regulatory authorities.
