Role Summary
A construction and real estate company in Kuwait is hiring a creative Interior Designer to join its Projects/Engineering Department. The role involves conceptualizing, planning, and executing interior design works for residential, commercial, and mixed‑use projects while ensuring compliance with specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Planning
• Develop interior design concepts, mood boards, and space layouts.
• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D renderings, and detailed design presentations.
• Select materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and fixtures.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Project Coordination
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, MEP teams, and site engineers.
• Review shop drawings and material submittals.
• Conduct site visits to monitor design implementation.
• Ensure execution aligns with approved drawings and quality standards.
Client & Stakeholder Management
• Present design concepts to clients and management.
• Incorporate client feedback into final designs.
• Provide BOQ input and cost‑effective design alternatives.
Documentation & Reporting
• Prepare specifications, material schedules, and FF&E documentation.
• Assist in project budgeting and cost control.
• Maintain updated design records and revisions.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in construction or real estate projects.
• Experience in residential and commercial fit‑out projects preferred.
• Knowledge of local authority approvals is an advantage.
