Role Summary
Experienced Safety Engineer required to implement and maintain KOC safety procedures on a major oilfield project. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with KOC standards, conducting safety assessments, and supporting project teams to maintain a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement KOC safety procedures and ensure site compliance.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments (HAZOP, JSA, toolbox talks).
- Prepare and review safety documentation including permits, method statements, and incident reports.
- Monitor corrective actions and follow up on nonconformances.
- Provide safety training and inductions for site personnel and subcontractors.
- Liaise with KOC/KNPC representatives and ensure approvals and permits are in place.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, prepare root‑cause analysis and lessons learned.
- Support emergency response planning and drills.
- Ensure PPE, safety signage, and site controls meet project requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in safety engineering on oil & gas or industrial projects.
- KOC or KNPC approval is mandatory.
- Thorough knowledge of KOC Safety Procedures and local regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in safety audits, incident investigation, and HSE reporting.
- Relevant safety qualifications and certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work on site and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
