Job Vacancy: Procurement Manager – Oil & Gas

A company in Ahmadi, Kuwait is looking for an experienced Procurement Manager with strong knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry and procurement operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, developing reliable supplier networks, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective supply of quality materials, components, and services.

• Manage and execute procurement activities for company projects and operations.
• Plan and coordinate the purchase of materials, components, equipment, and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable local and international suppliers.
• Assess supplier capabilities, quality, pricing, and delivery performance.
• Negotiate supplier contracts, prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure materials and services are delivered on time and according to required specifications.
• Obtain competitive quotations and negotiate the best commercial terms.
• Monitor procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Stores, Finance, and other departments regarding procurement requirements.
• Manage and support the procurement team and assign responsibilities as required.
• Monitor purchase orders and supplier deliveries.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and project requirements.
• Resolve supplier-related issues involving quality, delivery, pricing, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and supplier documentation.
• Support the company in improving supply chain efficiency, quality, and overall value.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar senior procurement role.
• Strong Oil & Gas industry experience is required.
• Experience in procurement of industrial materials, components, equipment, and services.
• Strong knowledge of supplier evaluation and sourcing.
• Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
• Ability to negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
• Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
• Good commercial and cost-control awareness.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
